Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Ore., during April by unit trains and barges, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as specified. All other wheat bids are for full April delivery. Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.

July wheat futures trended 1-1/2 to 6-1/4 cents per bushel lower in early trading compared to Friday's July closes.

Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for April delivery in unit trains or barges were not well tested in early trading, but trended mixed, from five cents lower to five cents per bushel higher compared to Friday's noon bids for April delivery.

Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for April delivery were not well tested in early trading, but bids were indicated as four to instances of 21 cents per bushel lower compared to Friday's noon bids, with pressure coming from the lower Kansas City July wheat futures. Some exporters are not issuing bids for nearby delivery. Exporters have switched their basis to over the July wheat futures.

Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring Wheat for April delivery were not well tested, but bids were indicated as five to ten cents per bushel lower than Friday's noon bids. Bids were pressured by the lower Minneapolis July wheat futures, and a lower basis bid by some exporters. Protein scales were down 15 cents per 1/4 percent protein down to 13 percent protein and up five cents per 1/4 percent protein up to 16 percent protein.

Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn delivered to Portland in single rail cars trended steady compared to Friday's noon bids. Corn bids truck delivered to the Yakima Valley trended steady to 1-1/4 per cwt higher compared to Friday's noon bids. Slightly higher Chicago July corn futures supported bids.
