Vermont Legislative panel ponders immigrant licenses

MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) -- A special Vermont legislative panel is looking into whether immigrants working on Vermont dairy farms should be allowed to obtain drivers' licenses or non-driver identification cards.

The committee is taking testimony from 10 people

The dairy farm workers are mainly from Mexico. Advocates say they're often stuck in remote locations and must rely on employers for rides.
