Four Chelan FFA Members Compete in the Creed

Four first year Chelan FFA members joined eight other first year members from NCW to compete in the first speaking Career Development Event (CDE) of their FFA careers in Manson.  The Creed Speaking CDE is the probably the hardest CDE these members will ever compete in.  They have to recite the five paragraphs of the FFA Creed and answer one question about it.  For many it is the first time they have ever spoke in front of an audience and conquering their nerves is just one of the fears they must overcome.  The four members from Chelan who rose to the occasion and delivered the creed were Jesus Rodriguez, Rhiannon Davis, Lexi Montano, and Nataliann Tutino.   They joined members from Wenatchee, Manson, and Cashmere.  The Manson Grange hosted the Sub District Creed CDE as they have for nearly 40 years and also prepared a dinner for contestants and their parents and advisors.

Nataliann placed third and will advance to the District VII Leadership CDE to be held in Chelan on Wednesday April, 11th.  She will be competing with the other seven qualifiers for the two spots into the State CDEs from District VII.  The State CDEs will be held at Washington State University in Pullman in May.
