Crunch Pak, Disney offer apple slice 'Flavorz'

CASHMERE, Wash. -- Crunch Pak, the leading supplier of ready-to-eat apple slices, is now offering a variety of flavors.

There's grape, peach-mango and strawberry-vanilla Flavorz created by Crunch Pak in conjunction with Disney Consumer Products.

"Kids have very different palates than adults and kids love these flavors, especially the strawberry-vanilla," said Tony Freytag, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Crunch Pak.

"We hope Flavorz encourage children everywhere to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables," he said.

Flavorz are sliced fresh apples infused with natural flavoring with no sugar added. The look and texture of the slices are not changed. Along with flavor, consumers will notice the aroma of each fruit, Freytag said.

Children ages 3 through 7 helped Crunch Pak narrow a list of potential flavors to the final three. Grape is packaged with the Disney character Mickey Mouse, peach-mango with Phineas & Ferb and strawberry-vanilla with Disney princess characters.

They are available in grocery stores nationwide.

Crunch Pak, headquartered in Cashmere, was founded in 2000 and produces more than 1 billion apple slices annually in Cashmere and in Pennsylvania.
