Crash causes closure of I-35 North near Ardmore, Okla.

ARDMORE, Okla. (AP) -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says both northbound lanes of Interstate 35 are closed near Ardmore after a cattle-hauling truck overturned in the median.

Authorities say the crash happened early Monday morning near mile marker 40 north of Ardmore. The rig was hauling cattle when it overturned in the median.

The highway patrol says it closed the northbound lanes at about 6:45 a.m. Monday so crews could offload cattle and clean up an oil spill in the roadway. The lanes were expected to reopen later Monday.
