KINGSTON, Wash. (AP) -- Port workers in Kingston, Wash., are trying to find someone to remove the dead cow that washed up on a beach.

Harbormaster Kevin Van Vliet said workers first noticed the brown and white cow washed up about 300 yards from the port's office on Wednesday. Since then, he's asked multiple agencies for help in removing the cow, which can be seen from the Kingston ferry terminal.

The Kitsap Sun says Van Vliet is being told the cow isn't in anyone's removal area.

He says Department of Agriculture officials may be able to help.

Kingston is located on the Kitsap Peninsula, northwest of Seattle across Puget Sound.
