Grain futures rise, livestock prices mixed

CHICAGO (AP) -- Grain prices rose Tuesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery rose 7 cents to $7.74 a bushel; March corn rose 3.75 cents to $7.2775 a bushel; March oats rose 4.50 cents to $3.5850 a bushel; while March soybeans rose 1 cent to $14.19 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures were mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle rose 0.35 cent to $1.3070 a pound; March feeder cattle slipped 0.27 cent to $1.5115 a pound; February lean hogs rose 0.13 cent to 85.35 cents a pound.
