Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Ore., during April by unit trains and barges, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as specified. All other wheat bids are for full April delivery. Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.
May wheat futures trended 1/2 of a cent to 9-1/2 cents per bushel lower in early trading compared to Tuesday's closes.
Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for April delivery in unit trains or barges were not well tested in early trading, but trended steady to ten cents per bushel lower compared to Tuesday's bids for April delivery.
Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for April delivery were not well tested in early trading, but bids were indicated as seven cents per bushel lower compared to Tuesday's noon bids, with pressure coming from the lower Kansas City May wheat futures.
Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring Wheat for April delivery were not well tested, but bids were indicated as ten cents per bushel lower than Tuesday's noon bids. Bids were pressured by the lower Minneapolis May wheat futures. Protein scales were down 15 cents per 1/4 percent protein down to 13 percent protein and up five cents per 1/4 percent protein up to 16 percent protein.
Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn delivered to Portland in single rail cars trended 22-1/2 to 23-3/4 cents per cwt lower than Tuesday's noon bids. Lower Chicago July corn futures pressured cash corn bids. Corn bids truck delivered to the Yakima Valley trended 22-1/2 cents per cwt lower compared to Tuesday's noon bids.
