Grain futures mostly drop, livestock prices fall

CHICAGO (AP) -- Grain prices mostly fell Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery fell 9.75 cents to $7.96 a bushel; March corn fell 6.50 cents to $6.9650 a bushel; March oats were flat at $3.7525 a bushel; while January soybeans fell 19 cents to $14.18 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle fell 0.73 cent to $1.3362 a pound; January feeder cattle fell 0.37 cent to $1.5310 a pound; February lean hogs fell 0.42 cent to 86.15 cents a pound.
