Compared to March 3 at the same market, Stocker and feeder cattle weak in a light test. Trade slow with light demand. Slaughter cows $4-5 higher. Slaughter bulls steady in a light test. Trade very active with very good demand and good buyer participation. Weighing conditions in buyers' favor. Slaughter cows made up 54 percent of the offering, Slaughter bulls 5 percent, 5 percent replacement cows, and feeders 36 percent of the supply. The feeder supply included 51 percent steers and 49 percent heifers. Near 29 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.

Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2: 300-400 lbs. $170; 400-500 lbs. $168; 500-600 lbs. $139.50; 600-700 lbs. $135-138.50; 800-900 lbs. $123. Large 1-2: 900-1000 lbs. $120. Small and Medium 1-2: 400-500 lbs. $139-145.

Slaughter cows and bulls firm to $1 higher. Trade active with very good demand. Slaughter cows were approximately 74 percent of the supply; Slaughter bulls 5 percent, and feeders 21 percent of the supply. The feeder supply included 33 percent steers and 67 percent heifers. Near 70 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
