Domestic wool trading on a clean basis was moderate with no confirmed sales. Demand light to moderate.

Domestic wool trading on a greasy basis was slow with no confirmed sales.

The FSA effective LDP rate for wool is unchanged at $0 per pound. The FSA effective LDP rate for mohair is unchanged at $0 per pound.

Compared to Feb. 22, slaughter lambs were steady to $10 higher, instances $20-30 higher. Slaughter ewes were steady. Feeder lambs were steady to $10 higher. A winter storm affected much of the U.S. and canceled many sales this week.

At San Angelo, Texas, 3,607 head sold in a one-day sale. No sales in Equity Electronic Auction. In direct trading slaughter ewes were not tested and no comparison on feeder lambs.

4,200 head of negotiated sales of slaughter lambs were steady to $1 higher and 14,600 head of formula sales of dressed lambs under 65 lbs. were not well tested; 65-75 lbs. were $1-2 lower; over 75 lbs. were $6-8 lower. 4,329 lamb carcasses sold with 45 lbs. and down $.23 higher; 45-65 lbs. $6.07-16.39 lower and 65 lbs. and up $.16-.63 higher.

San Angelo: shorn and wooled 100-160 lbs. $110-128.

SLAUGHTER LAMBS Choice and Prime 1:

San Angelo: 40-60 lbs. $182-200; 60-70 lbs. $170-182; 70-80 lbs. $156-174, few $186; 80-90 lbs. $148-160; 90-100 lbs. $142-158, few $164.

DIRECT TRADING (Lambs with 3-4 percent shrink or equivalent)

4,200 Slaughter Lambs shorn and wooled 100-198 lbs. $105.30-135 (wtd avg $118.72); no dressed sales reported.

California: 9,000 Feeder Lambs 110-135 lbs. $105. 1,500 Feeder Lambs 100-110 lbs. new crop $117.50.

SLAUGHTER EWES:

San Angelo: Good 2-3 (fleshy) $50-56; Utility and Good 1-3 (medium flesh) $58-65, high-yielding $68-70; Utility 1-2 (thin) 45-51; Cull and Utility 1-2 (very thin) $40-43.

FEEDER LAMBS Medium and Large 1-2:

San Angelo: new crop 50-60 lbs. $176-188; 65-75 lbs. $160-166; 80-90 lbs. $146-158; 105-115 lbs. $146-150.

REPLACEMENT EWES Medium and Large 1-2:

San Angelo: no test.
