Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during April by unit trains and barges, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as specified. All other wheat bids are for full April delivery. Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery.

May wheat futures trended mixed, from 5-1/2 cents lower to 5-1/2 cents per bushel higher in early trading compared to Wednesday's closes, with the decline in Minneapolis and the most advance in Chicago. July Kansas City wheat futures trended four cents per bushel higher compared to Wednesday's close. Minneapolis July wheat futures trended 6-1/2 cents per bushel lower.

Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for April delivery in unit trains or barges were not well tested in early trading, but trended steady to five per bushel higher compared to Wednesday's noon bids for April delivery.

Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for April delivery were not well tested in early trading, but bids were indicated as four to nine cents per bushel higher compared to Wednesday's noon bids, with support coming from the higher Kansas City May and July wheat futures and a higher basis bid by some exporters.

Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring Wheat for April delivery were not well tested, but bids were indicated as six cents per bushel lower than Wednesday's noon bids. Bids were pressured by the lower Minneapolis July wheat futures. Protein scales were down 15 cents per 1/4 percent protein down to 13 percent protein and up five cents per 1/4 percent protein up to 16 percent protein.

Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn delivered to Portland in single rail cars trended 7-1/2 cents per cwt higher than Wednesday's noon bids. Higher Chicago July corn futures supported cash corn bids. Corn bids truck delivered to the Yakima Valley trended 7-1/2 to 8-3/4 per cwt higher compared to Wednesday's noon bids.
