Idaho Milk Products, located in Jerome, is a finalist for the International Dairy Federation’s Dairy Innovation Awards 2024 in the category of Innovation in Sustainable Processing.

Idaho Milk Products is a global leader in milk proteins, leveraging its closed-loop, vertically integrated business model. By sourcing all its milk within 50 miles of its state-of-the-art facility, the enterprise streamlines transportation and ensures ingredient freshness while simultaneously monitoring and minimizing waste. This traceable process results in dairy products that cater to the evolving landscape of global nutrition and sustainability, the company stated in a press release.

The winners of the 2024 Dairy Innovation Awards will be unveiled this October at the IDF World Dairy Summit in Paris, France. The IDF Dairy Innovation Awards aim to highlight the dairy sector’s dynamism and engagement on a global scale, showcasing innovative processes, practices and products that enhance efficiency and contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Adding value

“Our entire reason for existing is to sustain a business for the long term, and that obliges us to make sustainability the core consideration in everything we do and realize our purpose of ‘adding value to milk for generations,’” Daragh Maccabee, CEO of Idaho Milk Products, said in the press release.

“We are greatly honored by this nomination. We look forward to continuing our pursuit of excellence and innovation in the dairy industry,” said Jeremy Pike, sustainability platform leader at Idaho Milk Products.

The company is a privately held, vertically integrated international milk processing leader. It supplies milk protein isolate, milk protein concentrate, milk permeate powder and cream derivatives to customers around the globe. The company is owned by local Idaho dairy farmers.
