KIMBERLY, Idaho — Agri-Service LLC, an AGCO farm equipment dealership with 10 locations across Idaho and eastern Washington, is integrating precision farming division Vantage-Northwest under the Agri-Service brand.

The goal is to “create a more seamless customer experience,” according to an Agri-Service news release.

The division will be called Agri-Service PTx. It offers cutting-edge solutions such as PTx Trimble and Precision Planting.

Advanced precision farming technology available via PTx Trimble includes GPS-guided systems for efficient land management, planting, and resource use to boost farm productivity. Precision Planting agronomic technology delivers innovative solutions for planting, application, seeding and soil management to enhance crop yields, according to the company.

“Our advanced technology solutions for precise planting, resource management and farm operations can help farmers increase yields and efficiency,” Ryan Hermann, sales operation manager at Agri-Service PTx, said in the release. “With dedicated local service support at each dealership, Agri-Service PTx can keep our customers’ equipment operating smoothly and minimize downtime.”

And by bringing the division in-house, “we now offer seamless, fully integrated technology solutions with the equipment we sell, ensuring our customers maximize the value of their investment,” he said.

“Given the increasing pressures of input costs, commodity prices and competition, farmers need to maximize output with available resources to get ahead,” Hermann said. Agri-Service PTx will allow customers to “leverage a comprehensive suite of technology solutions that will help them increase yields and maximize efficiency, all with the support of Agri-Service equipment, service and parts availability that will greatly streamline their operations.”

In-house training is being conducted over the next several months to ensure smooth implementation, he said in the release. Agri-Service will deploy four in-house product specialists regionally to cover its growing territory.

Agri-Service is working with AGCO Finance to offer financing options to customers. While the focus will remain on supporting AGCO equipment primarily, Agri-Service PTx plans in the future to extend its precision farming technology to customers operating mixed fleets, Hermann said.

Agri-Service acquired Vantage-Northwest in December 2018, expanding its precision farming capabilities for customers regionally.
