Boise — September 4, 2024 FiftyFlowers, a leader in the floral industry, is excited to announce its participation in the Society of American Florists’ (SAF) annual Petal It Forward event, a nationwide goodwill initiative that highlights the emotional and health benefits of giving and receiving flowers.

Now in its ninth year, Petal It Forward brings together thousands of floral industry members across all 50 states to share the joy and positivity that flowers can bring on one special day in October.

Studies show that having flowers in your immediate environment significantly reduces stress for women.

On October 16, 2024, FiftyFlowers will team up with Boisenice and JP Morgan to hand out two flowers to unsuspecting passersby at JUMP in Boise from 11 AM to 1 PM. Participants are encouraged to keep one flower and share the other with someone else, creating a ripple effect of happiness and connection throughout our Boise community.

This simple yet impactful gesture not only brightens the day of the recipients, it also spreads a wave of positivity, reinforcing the power of small acts of kindness.

“We are proud to bring this national movement and represent the flower industry, to a localized level,” said Liza Roeser, “Flowers are a vehicle for your emotions—they effortlessly help express and carry our emotions from cradle to grave. Giving flowers to someone is very different from receiving a flower; either way, when this magic happens, you can see a face light up which creates joy. We are hoping to touch 10,000 hearts today.”

FiftyFlowers invites everyone to participate in Petal It Forward, whether by receiving flowers from an industry participant or by creating their own acts of kindness. By spreading flowers and smiles, we can all contribute to a more positive and connected world.
