Reward offered in Washington wolf poaching cases

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is offering a reward of up $10,000 for tips leading to an arrest and conviction in wolf poaching cases in Klickitat and Okanogan counties.

USFWS and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife are investigating the illegal killings. Both wolves were killed in parts of the state where they are federally protected.

Fish and Wildlife investigated the death of an adult male wolf Oct. 6 east of the Klickitat River near U.S. Highway 142 near Goldendale in south-central Washington.

Fish and Wildlife investigated an adult female wolf found Oct. 20 southwest of Twisp in Okanogan County in north-central Washington.
