Nov. 11-12
Receipts: 550 total; 356 cattle, 154 sheep, 40 goats
Comment: Remember we sell all types and kinds of cattle. The ones that outsell the rest are cattle that are properly weaned and vaccinated or value added. I guess I just can’t convey the term properly vaccinated enough. Vaccinating your calves 1-2 days prior to selling them at the auction isn’t a good thing. Value added is the key: do things that add value not things that add to the stress level. By value added we mean properly weaned (30 plus days) and vaccinated with 2 rounds of respiratory protection with a minimum of 21 days between vaccinations and a minimum of 21 days after the last round of shots. The Cow and Bull market was steady this week.
