SEDCOR Ag Breakfast returns on Feb. 21

The SEDCOR Ag Breakfast is scheduled for Feb. 21 in Salem, Ore., and will bring together growers, processors, producers, service providers and other leaders in Willamette Valley agriculture for informative presentations.

Speakers include Valentin Celaya, senior vice president of AgWest Farm Credit, Spencer Stensrude, CEO of AgVentures Alliance, and Alex Paraskevas, economic development manager for SEDCOR.

Celaya, who also spoke at the event in 2024, will return to share about the economic forces shaping agriculture this year. He’ll discuss market trends, financial outlooks and the challenges and opportunities ahead for farmers and agribusinesses in the Pacific Northwest.

Stensrude, flying in from Iowa, will talk about farm driven innovation and investments. He’ll highlight practical strategies for managing market volatility, adopting new technologies and strengthening the supply chain.

Paraskevas will provide the latest updates on key initiatives for SEDCOR, including its partnership with AgLaunch and how these efforts are creating new opportunities for farmers and agribusinesses.

Event details

The SEDCOR Ag Breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m. at the Chemeketa Community College Agriculture Hub, 4000 Lancaster Drive N.E. in Salem, Ore. Presentations begin at 8 a.m.

Though registration is required, the breakfast is free for growers, processors and other producers of agricultural products.

The event is $50 for those who work to support the ag supply chain through complimentary products or services, or for residents simply interested in attending.

SEDCOR, the Strategic Economic Development Corporation, is based in Salem. The regional economic development organization is focused on Marion, Polk and Yamhill counties in the mid-Willamette Valley.
