UI Extension plans ag outlook seminars

University of Idaho Extension in December plans seminars covering the state’s agricultural market outlook.

The events are slated from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 11 at Shilo Inn, 780 Lindsay Blvd., Idaho Falls; Dec. 12 at Best Western Plus Burley Inn & Convention Center, 800 N. Overland Ave., Burley; and Dec. 13 at Best Western Plus Caldwell Inn & Suites, 908 Specht Ave., Caldwell.

Scheduled situation-and-outlook reports, and presenters, are global agriculture, Doug Robinson, Northwest Farm Credit Services; Idaho agriculture, Garth Taylor, UI; weather, Ron Abramovich, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service; water, Terrell Sorenson, UI; onions, Gina Greenway, College of Idaho; potatoes, Bruce Huffaker, North American Potato Market News; dairy, Rick Naerebout, Idaho Dairy Association; beef, Les Nunn and Joel Packham, both UI; grain, Jon Hogge, UI; and hay and silage, Reed Findlay and Steve Hines, both UI. Ashlee Westerhold of UI is slated to discuss input cost trends.
