FLORA, Ore. — Four dead cows confirmed as wolf kills were discovered in northeastern Oregon earlier this month, along with one injured yearling, according to the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.

All of the dead and injured cows were on private land near Flora, which is near the Washington border with Oregon, ODFW reported.

Two dead yearlings were discovered March 3, one dead and one injured cow were found March 2 and one dead yearling was found March 1, ODFW said.

Due to privacy concerns, ODFW does not routinely share the names of landowners who have experienced depredations from wolves or other wildlife damage.

The wolves are from a pack designated as WA139, a pack that roamed south from Washington state, the spokeswoman said.
