More than 20 of the state’s food producers contributed to the Ag-Artisan holiday gift boxes that the Idaho Preferred program is selling.

The gift boxes “provide a platform to showcase Idaho agricultural producers while offering consumers a delicious taste of what Idaho is all about,” Idaho Preferred program manager Erica White said in a news release. “Every purchase directly supports our farmers and artisans and promotes the local economy.”

Food and agricultural products grown, raised or processed in the state are the focus of Idaho Preferred, a member organization that the state Department of Agriculture administers.

The $64.99 gift boxes are available in two distinct collections, “each showcasing a curated assortment of products that celebrate Idaho’s agricultural diversity,” according to the release.

The gift box program now in its sixth year is a nonprofit endeavor that directly supports producers, according to Idaho Preferred. Early ordering is recommended.
