Oregon Beef Council Presents Distinguished Service Award to NCBA’s Colin Woodall

The Oregon Beef Council presented its prestigious Distinguished Service Award to Colin Woodall, CEO of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association at its board meeting in Bend, Oregon on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

John Seymour, Chairman of the Oregon Beef Council thanked Mr. Woodall for his dedication to the American cattle rancher and the Oregon beef community.

Mr. Seymour stated that “Colin flew to Bend to meet with us in Oregon. We appreciate his leadership as CEO of the NCBA and the relationship we are building together to optimize the programs we work on to benefit Oregon farmers and ranchers.”

Mr. Woodall said, “It is an honor to receive this Distinguished Service Award. I am proud to be here in Oregon and to help lead the country’s oldest and largest national trade association for cattle producers. Together with partners like the Oregon Beef Council we can help our stakeholders as the trusted leader and definitive voice of the cattle and beef industry in Oregon and across the U.S.A.”

Colin Woodall has been with the NCBA since 2004. He is originally from Big Spring, Texas, and he graduated from Texas A&M University. He spent valuable time as a grain elevator manager and merchandiser for Cargill at several locations in western Kansas and Oklahoma and then worked for U.S. Senator from Texas, John Cornyn in his Washington, D.C. office. Mr. Woodall serves on the Agricultural Policy Advisory Committee providing counsel to USDA and the United States Trade Representative’s office.

The Oregon Beef Council is a producer funded organization that works on programs to benefit Oregon producers including projects on education, promotion, and research. The board is made up of cattle ranchers and members of the Oregon beef community from across the state.
