DONALD, Ore. — The beloved Donald Daze Hazelnut Festival is making a triumphantreturn after a four-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 13, 2024, and join us for a day filled with excitement, community, and tradition. The festivities kick off with the Hazelnut Parade, proudly sponsored by Propane NW, starting at 11 a.m. sharp.

“We are thrilled to bring back the Donald Daze Hazelnut Festival,” said Connie Lindsay, chairperson of the 2024 festival. “This event has always been a cornerstone of our community, and we can’t wait to celebrate with everyone again.”

Honoring Our Grand Marshal: Dave Hetrick

This year’s grand marshal is none other than Dave Hetrick, a founding member and chairperson of the Donald Hazelnut Festival. With his extensive service on the City of Donald Council and his current role at BlueVolt as a Customer Success Manager, Dave’s contributions to our community are invaluable.

Classic Cruise-In: A Show Not to Miss

The Classic Cruise-In, sponsored by GK Machine, is a highlight of the festival. In 2019, we saw about 150 classic cars, trucks, tractors, and motorcycles grace our streets, and this year promises to be even bigger.

Vehicle owners can register online at www.DonaldDaze.com. Each entry includes a free meal ticket and dash plaque, with up to twenty trophies to be awarded. Many of these classic beauties will also participate in the parade down Main Street.

Vendor Extravaganza

Explore dozens of vendor booths featuring woodworking, pottery, handmade crafts, quilts, homemade jellies, handcrafted soap, and pet treats. Food lovers will delight in the variety of food carts offering gourmet BBQ, tasty tacos, and sweet treats. 

Family Fun Zone: Activities for All Ages

Sponsored by North Marion Recycling, the Family Fun Zone near Little Donald Park is packed with activities guaranteed to entertain kids and adults alike. From face painting, balloon making, and bubble fun to carnival games, spin-art, and even axe throwing, there’s something for everyone. Don’t miss the GoSkate lessons at Donald Skate Park!

The Donald Tavern presents a lineup of incredible live entertainment that will keep you dancing and singing all day long. Head over to Williams Street and relax in our outdoor beer garden while soaking in the festive atmosphere. Enjoy performances from two amazing classic rock bands:
