GK Machine to host Manufacturing Day event on Oct. 4

(Donald, Oregon) — In celebration of National Manufacturing Day, GK Machine in Donald, Oregon, will open its doors on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM to more than 300 students from surrounding high schools and community colleges.

This is part of an effort to change students’ perceptions about today’s manufacturing environment and draw attention to the latest technologies and the outstanding opportunities that a career in manufacturing can provide.

Planned activities include guided tours of GK Machine’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, where students can meet directly with engineers, machinists, programmers, fabricators, assembly technicians, and others who design, engineer, and build heavy-duty agricultural and industrial equipment.

Manufacturing Day is a national event supported by thousands of manufacturers. At this event, they host students, teachers, parents, job seekers, and community members at open houses, plant tours, and presentations designed to showcase modern manufacturing technology and careers.
