Idaho ranch to display Certified Angus Beef logo

Few symbols represent vintage Americana like a barn, where farm life is centered from generation to generation. This week, Art and Stacy Butler of Spring Cove Ranch in Bliss, Idaho, will be the first ranch in Idaho to have the Certified Angus Beef logo painted on their barn.

“We are honored to display the CAB logo on our barn. My grandfather bought his first Angus cattle in 1919 and Angus cattle and Butlers have been raised at Spring Cove Ranch for 104 consecutive years. The CAB logo is a tribute to our heritage in the breed,” says Art Butler.

Painting the brand’s logo on barns began in 2018 as a tip of the hat to the farmers and ranchers who created the beef brand 40 years earlier and still lead it today. The original 40 painted barns have now grown to over 70 barns across the U.S. and Canada.

Each barn is a beautiful way to honor the connections and community that deliver the best-tasting beef for Michelin star chefs, home cooks and barbecue enthusiasts alike.

“This effort is a tangible symbol of the valuable and interconnected roles our partners play in guiding the Certified Angus Beef brand from farm to table,” says Tracey Erickson, senior executive vice president of marketing. “It’s an honor for us to praise the heritage of the family farmers and ranchers who have always been at the heart of this brand.”

Each barn has a unique story, much like the Certified Angus Beef brand and the family farmers and ranchers who raise Angus cattle. The Butler’s are representative of this heritage.

The barn will be painted by Troy Freeman, of Free Sky Studios in Springfield, Ill. Painting takes two to three days at each barn site. While he’s onsite, Freeman enjoys meeting farming families and learning more about their unique stories while celebrating their shared goals and values.

Based in Wooster, Ohio, and owned by family farmers and ranchers, the Certified Angus Beef brand is more than just Angus beef. Only the very best makes the cut. Strict standards certify every bite is tender, juicy and full of flavor, whether it’s cooked at home or dining at the best steakhouse. It’s the world’s most trusted beef brand and has been since 1978. For more information, visit CertifiedAngusBeef.com.
